On on March 24, İYİ (Good) Party leader Meral Akşener said her party “had hit the road to establish justice, the superiority of law and democracy, adding that ‘This is why they are afraid of us'”, Doğan News Agency reports.
Already on election mode, the dynamic lady of Turkish politics addressed nearly 5,000 people in the Black Sea province of Trabzon, on Atatürk Square. She spoke of the future polls in her country, saying that they will be held “either in 2019 or earlier, “but I expect an election on July 15, 2018. If the elections happen then, you can multiply what is happening today by two and that is the Turkey you will be faced with. When you say, ‘I want the [real] value of the hazelnuts I have produced,’ you will be kicked and arrested,” Akşener told the crowd.
Moreover, she told her audience that, “When you say ‘we want the hazelnuts from Trabzon to be a big brand,’ you will be arrested. We have hit the road to say ‘no’ to all of this, to establish justice, the superiority of law and democracy. This is why they are afraid of us.”
