The leader of the Democratic Party of Kosovo has left little hope for a possible solution of the political crisis.
At least, this is the impression given based on his declaration, made after the meeting with the president of Kosovo, Atifete Jahajga.
Thaci has reiterated the earlier stances of his part, in relation to the decision of the Constitutional Court for the issue of the speaker of parliament.
But, at the same time, Thaci said that his party encourages president Jahjaga to find a solution.
“We talked with the president and encouraged her to work together in order to find a solution. PDK will respect the will of the citizens and the decision of the Constitutional Court”, declared Thaci.
Asked about the declarations of the representatives of the bloc, in relation to the interpretation of section 127 of the ruling of the Constitutional Court, Thaci said that he’s not interpreting the rulings of the court.
“For us, it’s an obligation to respect the ruling of this court and this goes for everyone”, added Thaci.
Meanwhile, leader of Self Determination, said, after the meeting that he had with president Atifete Jahjaga, that the president of the country assured him that in case there’s no solution by political parties in the near future, then she will determine the time until when this situation can persist.
He said that Jahjaga has offered two solutions for the crisis, a solution in parliament or fresh elections.
“During the meeting, the president has expressed her concern about the failure to solve the political situation. The president said that she will come up with a deadline as soon as possible for the solution of the crisis”, declared Kurti.
During the course of the day, Jahjaga is expected to meet other political leaders in Kosovo. /ibna/
