Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Evangelos Venizelos and the president of SYRIZA Alexis Tsipras will have a meeting at the Foreign Ministry on Monday, at 1 pm
Tsipras will be informed by Venizelos on developments in national issues, particularly in Cyprus and the research for hydrocarbons in the Cypriot EEZ.
The meeting will take place one day after Venizelos’s visit in Turkey and in view of the 3rd High Board of Cooperation between Greece and Turkey that will take place in Athens on December 5-6.
“It is a meeting strictly limited to foreign policy”, said on Sunday SYRIZA’s MP Dimitris Papadimoulis, when asked about the meeting Venizelos – Tsipras.
“The Cyprus problem, Greek-Turkish relations and other issues, as well as the forthcoming trips of Alexis Tsipras make this meeting institutionally necessary. Nothing less, nothing more”, added Papadimoulis.
