The third meeting of the leaders of the four main political parties in the country, but without reaching an agreement.
Ilija Dimovski, representative of the party in power VMRO-DPMNE declared that this meeting informed the leaders of Albanian political parties, Ali Ahmeti from BDI and Menduh Thaci from PDSH on the meeting held last week in Strasbourg between leader of VMRO-DPMNE, Nikola Gruevski and opposition leader, Zoran Zaev.
Dimovski said that so far, there have been no concrete results from the negotiations.
Macedonian opposition leader, Zoran Zaev said that next week he’s expecting negotiations to resume again. “Today, we informed the leaders of Albanian political parties and ambassadors of the USA and EU on the talks held on May 19 in Strasbourg between myself and Gruevski and EU Enlargement Commissioner, Johannes Hahn. We discussed on the details of this meeting and agreed on continnuing next week”, declared Zaev.
Spokesman of PDSH, Luan Tresi declared that no details can be given on the meeting held today, while according to him, their party is expecting to hold important talks next week. No details were given on the participation of the EU representative appointed as a negotiator in the talks, in next week’s meeting. /ibna/
