Doctors and nurses working in medical institutions of the public sector in Attica have announced they will go on a work stoppage this Wednesday from 08:00-13:00 p.m. local. In the rest of Greece, doctors and nurses will be on a 24-hour strike, thus showing their opposition against a public sector staff evaluation.
The Panhellenic Federation of Employees at Public Hospitals (Gr.: POEDIN) will hold a demonstration outside Athens’ children’s’ hospital (Gr.: PEDON), in the area of Goudi, at 08:00 a.m. local. Moreover, they will go on a march to the ministry of Health. The demonstrators have said they will stop in front of Maximos Mansion, the Parliament, the ministry of Finance and the General Accounting Office.
The Union of Athens-Piraeus Doctors will also participate in the work stoppage from 09:00-15:00 p.m. local time and a rally outside the Health ministry…/IBNA
