Ministry of Interior has pressed criminal charges against mayor of Struga, Ziadin Sela for abuse with office.
Sela is accused of signing unlawful decisions by renting out lands which are not property of the commune.
But Sela said that these charges are unfounded and that he will press charges against the Ministry of Interior, which, according to him, is trying to ruin his image.
“I am known for my fight against those who occupy lands and now it’s ridiculous to be accused of acting at the detriment of the state”, Sela said.
Sela said that a week ago his life was threatened and although he reported this, the Ministry of Interior has not reacted.
Ziadin Sela is the leader of the opposition party Movement for Reforms-Albanian Democratic Party. /ibna/
