Normally will be paid at the end of June salaries and pensions, assured the Greek deputy finance minister, Dimitris Mardas, who appeared confident that an agreement will be reached in today’s Summit.
“We seek to meet our obligations and under these circumstances, salaries and pensions and other obligations of the state are covered”, Mardas noted speaking in the ERT.
As regards payment of the International Monetary Fund, he said that the Prime Minister has linked the payment of the IMF with the Financial Protocol in progress: “It is not a liquidity issue, it is a matter of political decision”, he explained.
Referring finally to Monday’s summit, the Deputy Minister of Finance estimated that “we are reaching for an agreement”. “If the partners did not want an agreement they could have create problems for us. All signs point towards an agreement”, he underlined.
