The sports editors of Portugal voted and elected Marco Silve as the best manager working abroad this year (2016).
The manager of Olympiakos managed to get the baton from Jose Mourinho, who last year had received this award coaching Chelsea.
At just 38 years, the manager of the team from Piraeus has been rewarded for the excellent job he did at the “Reds”, winning the championship and scoring big wins in the Champions League.
Marco Silva could not fail to comment on the award: “It is a great honor and pride for me to get this award in my first season as a coach abroad. I would like for other similar successes to follow and of course I share the award with the other members of the coaching staff and my players”.
