In Kosovo, almost all young people are users of modern technology. This is shown by a survey conducted by the Kosovo Agency of Statistics and UNICEF.

The survey shows that 96% of men in Kosovo from the age of 15 to 24 and around 95% of women of this age group have used the internet in the last twelve months.

However, compared to the Roma, Ashkali and Egyptian (RAE) community in Kosovo, the use of internet by the rest of the population is high.

According to UNICEF observation, for the RAE community, 76% of women use the technology of information as opposed to 91% of men users.

This means that while the difference between different ethnicities is small, the difference between RAE women with the other part represents a significant gap of at least 20%.

On the other hand, Kosovo women use computers more than men, 94% and 93% respectively.

Smartphones which in essence are pocket computers that connect to the internet and make phone calls, are currently the most preferred means of technology of information. /ibna/
