Majlinda Kelmendi has won the golden medal in the European judo Championship held in Montpellier. The girl from Pec triumphed today in the final against the Russian Natalia Kuziutina.
This is the first time that Majlinda Kelmendi is a European judo champion.
The judo fighter from Pec has triumphed in the continental competition held in Montpellier, following a fantastic appearance in each match. Kelmendi received the golden medal in the 52 kg category, following a victory in the final against the Russian Natalia Kuziutina.
Kelmendi was brilliant in all her matches. She won the semi final against the German Mareen Kraeh and managed to win a spot in the final against Natalia Kuziutina.
She passed the first round without a fight, while in the second round, she was more successful than the Romanian Florian Alexandra Larisa. In the third round, she defeated the Armenian Zhanna Stankevich, securing a spot in the semi phinal.
Meanwhile, Akil Gjakova was eliminated in the first match, and the same happened with Distria Krasniqi, who didn’t go any further than the second round. /ibna/
