While the Constitutional Court in Albania quashed the government’s plan to establish the National Bureau of Investigation, this structure has been at the focus of meetings and discussions with different international exponents.
During a meeting that he had with the ambassador of Great Britain, Police Commissioner, Haki Cako said that he was given support for the creation of the Bureau of Investigation.
The British ambassador has praised the idea of creating the Bureau of Investigation.
“You must create it and we will assist you in overcoming the obstacles. We believe that the establishment of the Bureau of Investigation will boost the fight against corruption”, said the ambassador.
Police Commissioner said that efforts are being made to find a legal solution following the decision of the Constitutional Court, which overruled the chapter of the National Bureau of Investigation in the bill on Police, remaining convinced to establish this structure based on the best models of partners.
Great Britain is considered by Tirana as one of the main partners and supporters for the sector of technology. /ibna/
