Fatmir Limaj MP, who was placed under house arrest, has been released by the Court of Appeal today. This court has decided to lift this security measure for Fatmir Limaj and his former fellow fighters of KLA facing the “Kleçka” trial.
After their release, Limaj and the others must appear at the nearest police station once a week.
The defending attorney of Fatmir Limaj, Tome Gashi has confirmed the release of the former.
So far, all the witnesses who have testified in the “Kleçka” trial have defended the fighters.
EULEX had charged Limaj for war crimes, which allegedly took place in the village of Kleçkë in Lipjan. /ibna/
