The fourth high level meeting in the framework of the Talks for the Liberalization of Visas between Kosovo and European Commission was held today in Brussels.
The delegation of the government of Kosovo was chaired in this meeting by the minister of European Integration, Vlora Citaku and minister of Interior, Bajram Rexhepi, while the European Commission was represented by the general director for Home Affairs, Matthias Reute, EU special representative to Kosovo, Samuel Zbogar and head for the Western Balkan at the General Directorate for Enlargement, Jean Eric Paquet.
Kosovar minister of European Integration said that this meeting is part of the regular meetings between the government of Kosovo and European Commission, to discuss on the issues relating to the criteria set out in the Guideline for the Liberalization of Visas.
Minister of European Integration, Vlora Citaku said that “today we had a meeting with general director, Mr. Ruete and other officials of the European Commission and we were encouraged by their positive feedback on the recent achievements of Kosovo in fulfilling its obligations for the liberalization of visas”.
“We’re at the final phase of these talks. It’s essential to continue with the high performance of central and local government institutions in order for the free movement of the citizens of Kosovo to be made possible without further delays”, said minister Citaku. /ibna/
