Prime minister of Albania, Edi Rama has considered the level of education in the country as low, as according to the PM, institutions and knowledge are lacking.
“We’re not one of those countries with a high level of education, because we lack institutions and knowledge”, said the prime minister.
He mentioned the necessity to apply a model which will be based on sustainability and will be a more coherent model, including tourism and production.
“Our model of education is very important. It must change, as the model on which it was based up until today allows everyone to enroll a university, without first going through several important procedures, based on meritocracy”, said the head of the government.
Rama declared that the country must head toward development, along with its model of education. Rama said that young people must be offered not only one alternative, but a new and better strategy must be found. /ibna/
