Speaker of parliament of Kosovo, Kadri Veseli has met today with representatives of economic, national and international institutions. According to him, it’s very important for legislation to stimulate business and not to serve as an obstacle.
Veseli said that the scope of the meeting was to create the necessary legal basis in order to create a suitable environment for free economic incentive.
“This meeting and other meetings which will be held on a regular basis, is driven by the idea of creation an advisory group which will offer inputs on the private sector in Kosovo and in order to decide on the steps to be taken in order to improve the existing situation”.
The speaker of parliament said that consensus has been reached about the priority that the economy must have, the creation of new jobs and the improvement of Kosovo’s trade account.
Veseli added that he will regularly follow up on the inputs that are received. He also asked participants to offer their comments and proposals in relation to the economic legislation, which is now in the phase of drafting. “If you have a plan, I invite you to present it to us, because it’s important and urgent to take prompt measures in order to create a clear perspective for our citizens”, said Veseli among others. /ibna/
