Tirana, May 24, 2013

The leader of the Socialist Movement for Integration, Ilir Meta held a meeting today with a business involved in the industrial sector, which processes metallic materials for construction, owned by an Italian investor. “There should be more reflection in this aspect in order to offer more support and encourage foreign businesses, especially Italian businesses which have transferred their businesses to Albania as a result of the crisis”, said Meta.

The leader of the Socialist Movement for Integration declared that the SMI will open industrial parks and free economic areas and will reduce taxes for a period of 5 years, in order for these businesses to open new jobs. According to Meta, the creation of the Agency of Exports is an important objective of the SMI. “Our objective is to open industrial parks and free economic areas, which will offer infrastructural facilities. At the same time, we will also reduce taxes for a period of 5 years in order to increase employment”, said Meta.

The leader of the SMI, Ilir Meta said that his party is committed to implement its plan for employment and especially to offer concessions for foreign and domestic investors.

According to Meta, the automatic refunding of the VAT will put an end once and for all to the problem that businesses encounter with the tax administration, where they are either not refunded or refunded in a selective way.

“I believe that our plan for employment is the fastest path to employ Albanians, to encourage domestic investments and foreign investments which we need so much. For this, we must closely collaborate with all foreign and domestic entrepreneurs, because this is necessary to create new jobs in Albania”, said the leader of the Socialist Movement for Integration, Ilir Meta. /ibna/
