Leader of Albanian opposition calls a protest against the price of fuel

Leader of Albanian Democratic Party, Lulzim Basha, said today that the Prime Minister of the country, Edi Rama, gave away 600 million Euros worth of CEZ liabilities, while inviting citizens to protest against the price of fuel on Monday.

“He stole 200 Euros from every Albanian and then he rushed into increasing the price of electricity, although it was him who promised a decrease of the price during the campaign. Now he shows off at a time when Albanians pay the highest fuel price in Europe”, said Basha.

The leader of DP says that Monday’s protest is the refusal of every Albanian to pay twice as much as Europeans for the cost of fuel.

Basha also said that “on Monday, at 11 am, all throughout the country, car users must switch off their engines for five minutes and start the engines of protests against the price of fuel, the price of electricity, taxes and high prices, unemployment, poverty and injustice.” /ibna/
