Law on languages: Homes of majority MPs protected by police

The voting of the law on the use of languages is one of the main developments in FYROM, leaving the process for the solution of the name on the shadow.

Protests have taken place last night in Veles and Prilep against his law which advances the use of the Albanian language as the second official language in the country. Demonstrators have protested in front of the homes of the MPs of the party in power, SDSM, accusing them of treason. Last night, police forces have been placed on guard in front of the homes of social democrat MPs and this has been confirmed by the ministry of Interior.

The majority of newspapers today have also focused on the voting of the law, pointing out that the opposition intends to take the law to the Constitutional Court, while the government insists that the law is in harmony with the Constitution. /balkaneu.com/
