The Turkish expansionism and continued violations of Greek airspace in conjunction with the tolerance of NATO can not lead to anything good, says Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, in an extensive exclusive interview with Ria Novosti agency.

In this excerpt regarding the Turkish activity in the Aegean, the head of Russian diplomacy highlights:

The neo-ottoman aspirations – with the channeling of their influence everywhere, the acquisition of new territories – are particularly strong. Do you know how many times last year they violated the airspace of Greece? About 1,800 times!

And just in the April 2016, over 200!

And in any case, neither Brussels, nor any of the NATO chief generals said a word; how is it that a member of the North Atlantic Alliance continually violates the airspace of another member of the same coalition?

Such tolerance in such an apparent expansionist behaviour can not lead to anything good…
