Ambassador of Greece in Skopje, Harris Lalakos declares that Greece is ready to intensify the talks in order to come to an agreement about the name dispute with Skopje.
Mr. Lalakos confirmed this following a meeting with the leader of BDI (Democratic Union for Integration), Ali Ahmeti in Tetovo.
“Greece is ready to intensify talks in order to come to an agreement with Skopje in the framework of the process for the solution of the name dispute with UNO as negotiator”, declared ambassador of Greece to Skopje, Lalakos.
He also stressed that he stayed in Tetovo to congratulate Ahmeti on the victory of his party in the April 27 elections.
Mr. Lalakos said that he has shared a positive opinion with Ahmeti and has welcomed the decision of BDI to focus all efforts for the integration of the country in the EU and NATO.
Leader of BDI, Ali Ahmeti said that he discussed with the Greek diplomat about cross neighboring relations and solution to the issue of the name dispute as a serious obstacle for the Euro Atlantic integration of the country.
Ahmeti said that the party that he leads is committed for peace, stability, security, good cross ethnic relations, good neighborly relations and economic development. “All of this will be achieved through the integrating process of the country in the NATO and EU”, underlined Ahmeti. /ibna/
