The annual meeting of the Bilntempergk Group started on Thursday, June 9.
The 64th meeting of the Bilntempergk Group is attended by 125 personalities from 20 countries, including three Greeks, Kyriacos Mitsotakis, George Logothetis and Demetrios Papalexopoulos.
Kyriakos Mitsotakis, President of New Democracy, continues the family tradition to participate in the meetings of the Bilderberg Group, with his father Konstantinos Mitsotakis and his sisters Dora Bakoyannis and Katerina Mitsotakis Gkournten having attended in the past.
George Logothetis, who is based in New York, is responsible for the management of the Libra Group.
In 1993 George Logothetis joined Lomar Shipping, the shipping company of the Logothetis family based in London. In 1994 at the age of 19 he was appointed CEO. He has spearheaded the development of Lomar from a fleet of three vessels to a modern and diversified fleet of 55 vessels, before becoming the founding President and CEO of Libra Group, when it was founded in 2003.
As President and CEO, Logothetis led the transformation of the group from a shipping company to a broad multiethnic and multicultural international business group.
Dimitrios Papalexopoulos is Executive Director of Titan. Managing Director since 1996 and an executive officer of the Company since 1989.
He spent his early career as a business consultant of McKinsey & Company Inc. in USA and Germany. He is Vice-Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Hellenic Federation of Enterprises (SEV) and of the SEV Committee for Sustainable Development (SEV VIAN) and a member of the Board of Directors of the Foundation for Economic & Industrial Research (IOBE), the Hellenic Foundation for European and Foreign Policy (ELIAMEP) and of the European Round Table for Industrialists (ERT).
He studied Electrical Engineering (Dip. EL-Ing. ETH, 1985) at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Zurich (FTH) and Business Administration (MBA 1987) at Harvard University.
Besides those three, also present at the meeting will be two prime ministers, 4 FinMins, the former US Secretary of State Henry Kissinger, the head of the IMF Christine Lagarde, the Vice President of the European Commission France Timmermans, the former President of the European Commission Manuel Barroso, as well as the former heads the CIA and the British MI6.
As every year, this year a group of political leaders and people from industry, banking, academia and the media are invited to participate in the discussions to be held at the weekend 9-12 June on topics such as China, Europe (migration, development, reform, vision, unity), the Middle East, Russia, the political landscape in the US and its economy (growth, debt reform), security on the Internet, Geopolitics of energy and trade; insecurity and middle class and technological innovations.
