Leader of the Albanian party in power, BDI (Democratic Union for Integration), Ali Ahmeti has received last night in the party headquarters in Tetovo, the head of the Austrian diplomacy, Sebastian Kurz.
After this meeting, Kurz declared that Austria is an ally country of FYR Macedonia and that it will back its efforts for integration in the European Union and NATO. “We have expressed our readiness to help this vital process for the country”, declared the Austrian Foreign Minister.
But, the leader of BDI, Ahmeti said that without solving the name dispute, the country cannot become a member of Nato and EU.
“There must be a strong international intervention in order to overcome the name dispute between Skopje and Athens, because without overcoming this issue, Macedonia cannot become a Nato member and launch talks for EU accession. Nato brings sustainable peace and security, but it also guarantees healthy relations between the two largest communities in the country”, declared the leader of BDI. /ibna/
