Six Western Balkan countries are holding a meeting in Budva as part of the Berlin Process. In his speech, Austrian chancellor Sebastian Kurtz said that “we have a clear vision of peace and wellbeing in our continent”.
“Stability and security are guaranteed only when the region becomes part of the European Union”, he said.
Mr. Kurtz said that the region is in the right path.
“The refugee crisis has showed us that this region needs EU’s attention”, the Austrian chancellor said.
Mr. Kurtz also highlighted that a new dynamic has been introduced under Bulgaria’s EU rotating presidency. “We have entered a new dynamic. Macedonia has made big steps with the issue of the name. Bosnia and Kosovo are on the right track to advance in the EU perspective. I’m optimistic about dialogue between Kosovo and Serbia”, the Austrian chancellor said. Referring to the intensive meetings taken place between presidents Thaci and Vucic, Kurtz said that “If a deal is reached, Austria and the EU will not act as an obstacle”. /ibna/
