The head of the Greek diplomacy, Nikos Kotzias is expected to land in the Skopje International Airport today on his first visit in the country, after authorities decided to change the airport’s name as part of the concessions being made by the government of FYROM in the process of negotiations with Greece for the solution of the name dispute.
Kotzias’ arrival has occupied the main headlines in the country, stressing that this may be considered as the most important meeting in harmonizing positions in an attempt to reach compromise concerning the name issue. Kotzias’ agenda includes intensive meetings, which will mainly take place tomorrow.
Foreign minister of FYROM, Nikola Dimitrov said that he and his Greek guest will talk about the positions of both sides, as Greece and FYROM have exchanged draft-agreements about the solution of the name issue and for which Dimitrov said that they differ from each other.
