The Greek Foreign minister, Nikos Kotzias has arrived in the Skopje International Airport on his first visit since this airport was given a new name.
Kotzias was received by a high government delegation, while tonight he is expected to have a working dinner with his counterpart from FYROM, Nikola Dimitrov. Meanwhile, tomorrow Mr. Kotzias has a busy agenda ahead of him as he will meet with his counterpart, Nikola Dimitrov, PM Zoran Zaev, Assembly Speaker, Talat Xhaferi, chairman of VMRO-DPMNE, Hristiajn Mickoski and leader of BDI, Ali Ahmeti.
The focus of these meetings will be the name and the draft agreements that both countries have prepared regarding the solution of this issue.
Kotzias will not meet president Gjorge Ivanov, while the president’s cabinet has said that no meeting has been requested by the Greek side.
Media in the country say that the talks are entering a key phase. On March 30, in Vienna, a meeting will take place between ministers Dimitrov, Kotzias and the UN’s intermediary, Matthew Nimetz. /balkaneu.com/
