President of Kosovo, Atifete Jahjaga continued today with her awareness campaign against illegal migration with the citizens of the commune of Podujeva (photo). She told them that leaving Kosovo doesn’t solve any problems.
During the meeting with the citizens, Jahjaga heard their problems and promised them that the institutions of the country would take all the measures for the situation to change for better and improve well-being and economic development.
“I came in the commune of Podujeva to hear the problems of the citizens, to hear about the reasons why citizens are leaving. The journey abroad is not an easy one, especially after we’ve heard the declarations made by EU countries, which will repatriate our citizens. During my talks with the citizens of Podujeva, I told them to discourage all their relatives into leaving Kosovo, not to fall a victim of criminal groups, because their future is in Kosovo”, said president Jahjaga after the meeting with the citizens of Podujeva.
In Podujeva, Jahjaga also met with the mayor of this commune, Agim Veliu, who informed the head of the state on the problems that this commune has and from which many people have left. Veliu told the president that there’s been a recent fall in the number of people who are leaving the country. He also said that there are cases of people coming back. /ibna/
