Opposition in Kosovo is holding talks to expand their cause in order to overthrow the government and to hold early parliamentary elections.
IBNA learned that leaders of Self Determination, AAK and Incentive for Kosovo, are drafting a new plan to attain their objectives against PM Isa Mustafa’s government.
Sources within the opposition told IBNA that the violent actions against the Brussels’ agreements have been exhausted.
“This opposition plan foresees the boycott of parliament by all opposition MPs, the creation of a shadow government, which will be comprised by professionals and we will continue to hold peaceful protests”, said a representative of the opposition.
He said that the shadow government will open offices in all the cities of Kosovo in order to be in touch with the citizens, who will be able to address their problems.
Experts in Kosovo are divided about the concept of forming a shadow government.
Analyst Shkelzen Dakaj comments this novelty for IBNA.
“In essence, the action of the shadow government consists of a very active role by the opposition, which according to the opposition, it is more effective and rational”, Dakaj said.
But he said that based on this situation, such action is necessary.
Meanwhile, analyst Fatos Rushiti says that the formation of a shadow government is a good democratic model which will react against the government’s policies, but that it will not help with the current situation.
“We have a parliament where the opposition is beaten, where the media that criticizes the government is censored… Even if this shadow government is formed, the situation with this government will not change”, Rushiti told IBNA. /ibna/
