The head of the Islamic Community of Kosovo (BIK), Naim Ternava has been received in a meeting by Pope Francis. In this meeting, Ternava has thanked the Pope for his contribution given to Kosovo.
The Mufti of Kosovo, Naim Ternava, who is participating in the third Catholic-Muslim Forum of Inter-Religious Dialogue, which is being held in the Vatican, has been received today along with the other participants of the Forum by Pope Francis.
In his speech, Pope Francis welcomed the Muslim representatives in the forum and thanked them for the contribution that they’re giving in building peace, harmony, cohabitation and tolerance between people and religions.
“In his speech, the Mufti of Kosovo, Naim Ternava thanked the Pope for the contribution and care shown for Kosovo”.
“He told to Pope Francis that he did a real honor to the Albanian nation with his visit to Albania. On this occasion, Mufti Ternava gave to the pope the monograph of the mosques destroyed in Kosovo during the last war”, reads the statement. /ibna/
