Kosovo’s minister of European Integration, Dhurata Hoxha has declared that visas for citizens of Kosovo will not be liberalized until the European Parliament holds elections. She hopes that a decision may come on this issue in June.
According to Hoxha, EU member countries are not optimistic about a possible decision regarding the visa issue.
“There’s still a lot of work to do. Member countries are not willing to take a decision before the European Parliament elections. We’re not the only ones to declare that the criteria for visa liberalisation have been delivered. Once elections for the European Parliament take place, we’re hoping for a new momentum”, Hoxha said. /ibna/
