Kosovo’s Haradinaj meets German officials: Current borders will not be affected

After the first meeting he had in Berlin, Prime Minister of Kosovo has declared that the issue of the agreement between Kosovo and Serbia was one of the topics of discussion, while stressing that this agreement must only include existing borders.

“During my official visit to Berlin, I had a working breakfast with members of the Bundestag Parliamentary Group for Southeast Europe.  We talked about developments in the country and the region, cooperation between Kosovo and Germany and the process of dialogue with Serbia. I told them Kosovo is in favour of dialogue and in favour of reaching an inclusive agreement which will result in the recognition of our country in its existing borders”, Haradinaj declared.

Meanwhile, Haradinaj also said that the issue of visas was another topic of discussion.

“I told them that citizens of Kosovo are the only ones in Western Balkans who are unable to move freely and that they expect Germany to offer a positive solution to this process. Germany’s role for the consolidation of our state remains strong”, the Prime Minister of Kosovo said.

Meanwhile, today, the Prime Minister of Kosovo is also expected to meet with German chancellor Angela Merkel. /ibna/
