Government of Kosovo declared today that it is determined for the country to have its own army based on the Constitution of the Republic of Kosovo and in coordination with strategic partners, USA and NATO.
The government has issued a press release saying that PM Mustafa says that the establishment of the army of Kosovo cannot be held to ransom by Serbia.
“The advancement of the role of FSK is in the best interest of the citizens of Kosovo, regardless of their ethnicity”, the statement says.
The statement adds that the NATO Secretary General, Jens Stoltenberg has had a telephone conversation with PM Mustafa asking from him for the change of the mandate of FSK to be deliberated.
According to the PM, he has received similar suggestions this week by the US and UK ambassadors. /balkaneu.com/
