Kosovo’s first friendly match against Haiti ends in a draw

Kosovo’s football national team played its first international match today against Haiti, drawing 0:0 (photo). In spite of a goalless draw, Kosovo football players showed a good performance and their game was promising for future matches. Kosovo’s players attacked a lot, put pressure on their opponent, dominated the first half, but the goal didn’t come. Shpetim Hasani and Ilir Azemi had the best opportunities to give Kosovo’s an advantage, but teams went to the first half break goalless.

The home team made a strong start of the second half, in an attempt to score against Haiti.

The away team managed to balance the game, but soon enough, Kosovo’s players dominated the field.

Kosovo attempted to score until the end of the match, but the goal didn’t come.

Over 17 thousand fans were present in the stadium in order to follow this historical match. Present in the stadium were also state leaders of Kosovo, starting from the president, prime minister and speaker of parliament.

This was the first match that Kosovo plays in the international arena. /ibna/
