Kosovo’s Economic Chamber has declared today that it is against the increase of the price of electricity.
According to the Chamber, based on the current situation of the business sector, an increase in the price of electricity would have a very negative effect in their performance.
“As the biggest business organization in the country, Kosovo’s Economic Chamber would like to point out that the development and strengthening of the market economy can only be achieved through the development of the private sector, as the engine of economic development in the country.
The eventual rise of electricity prices would have multiple negative effects and this would further prevent economic development, enterprise and competition of domestic companies in the region’s market and beyond”, reads the statement.
Kosovo’s Economic Chamber demands from the Energy Regulatory Body not to approve the request for the increase of the price of electricity demanded by the Kosovo Power Corporation. /ibna/
