Serb authorities are demanding for Kosovo’s assets, namely the metallurgic giant “Trepca” to be part of the talks taking place in Brussels. The head of the Parliamentary Committee for Kosovo, Milovan Drecun said that Trepca’s problem cannot be solved without Serbia.
Drecun also said that the Serb government has taken a number of measures such as the fact that Serb representatives left the parliament of Kosovo and this could have an impact in the political stability of Kosovo.
Meanwhile, Prime Minister of Kosovo, Isa Mustafa said that Kosovo’s assets will never be a topic of talks with Serbia.
“It is clear that Serbia is intervening in Kosovo’s domestic issues. Serbia must realize that the assets which are located in the territory of Kosovo are property of the Republic of Kosovo. Kosovo is a sovereign and independent state recognized by 112 other countries”, Mustafa said.
Minister for Dialogue, Edita Tahiri said that the Trepca should not be a topic of discussions in Brussels.
Meanwhile, the spokeswoman of the European Commission, Maja Kocijancic has declared that Pristina and Belgrade must agree on including Trepca in the agenda of talks in Brussels. /balkaneu.com/
