In the 14th meeting of the Council of Ministers of the Energy Community taking place in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo took over the chairmanship for 2017.
Minister of Economic Development, Blerand Stavileci presented the priorities proposed by Kosovo for next year, priorities which will also be the priorities of this community.
According to him, these priorities were in line with the contractual obligations that Kosovo has in the framework of the Energy Community, based on the conclusions of the Paris agenda, focusing on the chapter of sustainable development, energy efficiency, renewable sources and environment.
Next year’s agenda also includes the continuation of the process of reforms in the framework of the Treaty of the Energy Community. Special attention will also be given to the liberalization and integration in the regional market.
At the end, minister Stavileci wished for this year to be the year of successes and the delivery of priorities. He also invited his counterparts to participate in the next meeting, which will be held in Pristina next year. /balkaneu.com/
