Kosovar Prime Minister Avdullah Hoti announced that, despite material damage following yesterday’s floods, the situation across the country is under control.
Hoti wrote in a Facebook post that all local emergency headquarters are on the field.
“The Kosovar government has taken all necessary measures to help the people affected by the floods.… All local emergency headquarters have been mobilized, while the Kosovar Police, special search and rescue units and firefighters are on standby” . “Fortunately, despite the material damage, the situation across the country is under control”, Hoti wrote.
Severe storms hit Kosovo on Tuesday, causing flooding in many areas, which resulted to property damage to infrastructure and properties. According to the meteorological service, rains and thunderstorms are expected in the country on Wednesday. /ibna
