British ambassador to Kosovo, Ian Cliff said that the foundation of the Association of Serb communes in the north of Mitrovica will be a difficult task.

He said that this topic will be discussed in the next meeting between deputy PM Thaci and Serb PM Vucic, which will be held on February 9.

Cliff has made these comments in the meeting held on Tuesday evening in Prizren with the head of the Serb church, bishop Teodosije Shibalic.

According to Cliff, sides will discuss in Brussels the creation of the Association of the Serb Communes and Courts in the north.

Meanwhile, he added that there will also be discussions about telecommunication and energy, for which he said that “a compromise is close”.

Ambassador Cliff also said that his government will help for the return of the Serbs in Kosovo. “With bishop Teodosije we have discussed about the return of Serbs to Kosovo”, said he.

According to Cliff, in order for such thing to happen, a solution must be found as to where they will work and live.

“We all know that the economic situation in Kosovo is difficult and unemployment is high. 2015 will be difficult for everyone, in both the economic and political aspect”, said ambassador Cliff. /ibna/
