Customs authorities in the north of Kosovo have not allowed a lorry filled with Serb products.

The spokesman of the Customs of Kosovo, Adriatik Stavileci said that this came as a result of the measures taken by Serbia in the domain of transport of oil and gas.

The Ministry of Trade and Industry has signed the decision for reciprocal measures against Serbia in the domain of transport of oil and gas.

This decision follows Serbia’s decision to recognize the certificates that drivers and vehicles from Kosovo possess about hazardous materials.

The minister, Hykmete Bajrami declared today that this decision comes as a result of the fact that all other alternatives to solve this issue were exhausted.

With this decision, Customs of Kosovo do not recognize the ADR certificate issued by Serb authorities. According to Bajrami, the ministry has first demanded from Serb authorities to take measures in order to remove this barrier, but there was no answer.

From 28 August until today, Kosovo companies that import fuels from Serbia have faced constant barriers. /ibna/
