Kosovo’s national football team will play today its first qualifying match for the Russia 2018 World Cup.
The opposing side is Finland and Kosovo’s manager, Albert Bunjaku says that the team is ready for today’s match.
“We have worked a lot on this match, but we’re still waiting for FIFA to grant its permission for the following players: Milot Rashica, Amir Rrahmani, Herolind Shala, Valon Berisha, Samir Ujkani and Alban Meha. The deadline for this is Monday at 3 pm and we’re hoping for these players to be allowed to play”, he said.
The key players of the team are motivated and believe on a positive result.
“We have an extraordinary group and I believe on a positive result. There are young players who really want to win. However, the match against Finland will be a tough match”, says midfielder Alban Meha.
The same opinion was also shared by the team’s attacker, Besar Halimi.
“Kosovo has good players and I believe that we will score and win. This would motivate us for other matches. The group has been very committed to achieve this scope”, Halimi said.
Meanwhile, Finland’s manager, Hans Backe, declared that his team will play an offensive game against Kosovo.
“We will attack Kosovo and this is our focus”, he said. /balkaneu.com/
