Kosovo will again participate in the International Exhibition of Contemporary Art in the Venice Biennale.
Acting minister of Culture, Youth and Sport, Memli Krasniqi has received a letter from the Board of the Venice Biennale, Paolo Baratta, which approves the request of the minister for Kosovo to be present in this big cultural event, which will be held from May to October 2015.
This is the 56th edition of this exhibition and Kosovo participates for the second time in it. In 2013, Kosovo was represented by Petrit Halilaj.
Besides, this, it’s been two years that Kosovo also participates in the International Architecture Exhibition in the Venice Biennale.
The first time it was represented by Perparim Rama and the second time by Gezim Pacarizi.
In the days to come, minister of Culture of Kosovo will decide on the team that will represent Kosovo in this exhibition.
He considers Kosovo’s representation in this event as very important.
“The Venice Biennale is one of the most important events of art in the world and the participation of Kosovo is very important. Earlier representations have had a great impact in the promotion of our artists. Our participation in this event has now become a tradition”, says acting minister of Culture, Memli Krasniqi. /ibna/
