Over 200 million euros worth of assets have been frozen in commercial banks in Kosovo following court orders. This figure is estimated to represent around 10 thousand pending cases in the courts of Kosovo.
Petrit Balija, head of the Association of the Banks of Kosovo says that this value also influences the activity of the commercial banks that operate in Kosovo.
“Given the greater need for crediting and economic expansion in the country, 200 million euros have a big impact in the banking sector. This makes crediting more difficult, because risk is bigger when the judicial system is not efficient”. /balkaneu.com/
