Starting from January 2017, Kosovo will participate in the proceedings of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe with a delegation consisting of three members from the majority, opposition and minorities.
This decision was ratified today during a session of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe. The Parliament of Kosovo has sent a delegation comprised of the two deputy Speakers, Xhavit Haliti and Aida Derguti.
With this decision, Parliament of Kosovo will participate in the meetings of the Committee for Democracy which decides on reporting or resolutions concerning Kosovo. This was achieved thanks to the help of the Albanian delegation led by Valentina Leskaj and several other states, which worked hard against the Serb lobbying for preventing Kosovo’s participation./balkaneu.com/
