Next year, Kosovo nationals will be able to move without visas in the Schenghen countries, like all the other Balkan nations.
This was declared today by the minister of European Integration of Kosovo, Bekim Collaku, adding that the Stabilization and Association Agreement between Kosovo and EU will be signed in summer and the country will have many economic benefits from this agreement.
According to him, SAA will have a positive impact in the growth of foreign direct investments, as according to him, big investors will no longer see the country as a country which has no relations with the EU.
Deputy minister of European Integration, Ramadan Iliazi, believes that next summer, citizens of Kosovo will be able to move freely toward the EU member countries.
“At the end of the year, we’re expecting Kosovo to be recommended by the European Commission to enter the white list of countries who can move freely in the Schenghen area. Next summer, there are hopes that the citizens of Kosovo will move freely in the Schenghen area”, Ilazi said.
Ilazi said that on June 5, minister of Integration, Collaku has submitted to the head of the EU office to Pristina, Samuel Zbogar, the report on the process of the visa liberalization.
“Mr. Zbogar reacted immediately. He has gathered a team of experts from different domains to collect facts on field from 13 to 17 July. This fact gathering mission will submit the report in September and institutions of Kosovo will have time to react”, Ilazi said. /ibna/
