Skopje, 20 June 2016/Independent Balkan News Agency
Government of Kosovo has decided today to discharge the minister of Environment and Urban Planning, Ferid Agani.
The news is confirmed for IBNA by government sources. They said that “Prime Minister of Kosovo, Isa Mustafa has relieved the Minister of Environment and Public Planning, Ferida Agani from duty upon the request of the latter”.
The government’s decision states that this has come following the request made by the minister himself.
In the recent days, General Prosecutor of Kosovo has officially accused Ferida Agani for abuse with state funds while sending patients from Kosovo abroad for medical treatment. The Prosecution’s charges relate to the period when he was minister of Health a few years ago.
The Prosecution has prepared a voluminous file in relation to what it considers to be the scandal of public prosecution in Kosovo. Besides the minister, facing charges are also tens of other officials. They are considered to be responsible for a financial damage amounting to at least 4,5 million euros. /balkaneu.com/
