Kosovo has met most of the criteria for the removal of visas

Minister of Interior, Skender Hyseni has received on Friday in a meeting the head of the Council of Europe Office in Pristina, Isabelle Servoz-Galluci and her deputy, Andre Forde.

This meeting discussed the priorities of the Ministry of Interior in meeting the obligations for the process of the liberalization of visas. The two participants also talked about the cooperation between the Ministry of Interior and Council of Europe.

During this meeting, minister Hyseni said that Kosovo has met the majority of criteria for the liberalization of visas and that the country is expecting a positive evaluation from the Council of Europe.

“The majority of the criteria emanating from the guideline for the liberalization of visas has been almost met. This is why we’re expecting a positive evaluation. We also expect from the Council of Europe to support us in the process of applying and accession in this organization”, Hyseni said.

On her part, the head of the CE office in Pristina, Isabelle Servoz-Galluci, has expressed her readiness for further strengthening of cooperation between the Council of Europe and the Ministry of Interior of Kosovo.

“We will continue to support and assist Kosovo with all our instruments”, said Servoz-Galluci. /ibna/
