Kosovo’s PM, Isa Mustafa declared today that Kosovo will insist in order to become a member of UNESCO.
“A few days ago, the executive board has accepted a request for accession. Kosovo deserves it and it must be a UNESCO member. Kosovo has plenty to offer to UNESCO. I’m surprised that Serbia has not become aware of its actions and that it’s lobbying against Kosovo’s accession in the UNESCO”, Mustafa said.
PM Mustafa made these comments in a joint press conference with the Minister of Education, Arsim Bajrami.
Among others, Mustafa said that Kosovo’s UNESCO membership would help in creating a labor market.
Mustafa said that the government of Kosovo is ready to meet all the necessary requirements for the accession.
Meanwhile, Minister of Education, Arsim Bajrami, declared that Kosovo has managed to make progress in all domains since ’99. According to him, Kosovo has achieved a high level of education and this is one of the reasons why Kosovo must be part of UNESCO. /ibna/
