Parliamentary parties in Kosovo have agreed today to postpone the extraordinary session for the ratification of the agreement concerning border demarcation with Montenegro for Wednesday at 10 am.
At the start of the session, assembly speaker, Veseli said that if the ratification of the agreement fails, Kosovo will not benefit from the visa free travel regime.
The head of the Self Determination Party parliamentary group, Glauk Konjufca said that if this was a good agreement, parliament would ratify it since 2015. According to him, the agreement damages Kosovo.
The head of the parliamentary group of the Democratic League of Kosovo, Avdullah Hoti said that the agreement needs to be ratified and that its voting should take place once internal political consensus is reached.LDK also said that it doesn’t support the ratification of the agreement if the report of the state commission for border delimitation, which states that the agreement damages Kosovo, is part of it.
The Prime Minister of Kosovo, Ramush Haradinaj issued a strong reaction to LDK’s positioning by saying “shame on you”.
Meanwhile, after a short pause and several other debates between MPs, it was decided to postpone the session for Wednesday. /balkaneu.com/
