The political representative of the European Union Office in Pristina, Katerina Lopo has declared that the EU is not happy about the fact that Kosovo is not making efforts to deliver the criteria needed for the liberalization of the visa regime.
In the conference dubbed “Kosovo and the process of the liberalization of visas”, Lopo said that Kosovo has been blocked with the issue of demarcation with Montenegro and the fight against organized crime and corruption.
“Kosovo is not making progress. Demarcation has been blocked and more efforts are needed for the fight against corruption”, she said.
Jeta Krasniqi of KDI said that Kosovo has no time to waste and that it needs to make progress in the process of the liberalization of the visa regime.
“Kosovo has pledged that it will deliver the criteria for the liberalization of the visa regime and they need to be delivered. This entire process requires lots of political consensus in the country”, Krasniqi said. /balkaneu.com/
