Kosovo’s parliamentary speaker, Kadri Veseli has met on Tuesday in Brussels the High Representative of the European Union, Federica Mogherini. Veseli and Mogherini have discussed the overall situation in Kosovo, Kosovo’s European integration path and the process of visa liberalisation.
During this meeting, Veseli said that Kosovo has delivered all the necessary criteria for the visa liberalisation process and that now, after the positive recommendation issued by the European Commission and voting by the European Parliament, the country is expecting a positive decision by the EU Council of Ministers.
Veseli has thanked the EU top official for the constant support that she’s given for Kosovo’s European perspective, development of democracy and strengthening of cooperation between countries of the region.
In this meeting, Veseli has confirmed “Kosovo’s institutional position to address all pending issues with its neighbours, in particular with Serbia”, stressing that “dialogue between the two countries will be finalized through mutual recognition of the two countries”.
On the other hand, Mogherini is said to have stressed the commitment of the European Union in supporting Kosovo’s European path, strengthening of domestic capacities and assisting dialogue with neighbouring countries. /ibna/
