Kosovo to host the EURODRAM congress

General Assembly of the Network of Theatrical Translations, Eurodram, will launch its proceedings on Wednesday May 14 at the Multimedia center, proceedings which will last until May 16.

Tens of translators, playwrights and other people of the domain of theater, will arrive from different European countries to participate in this congress which is being hosted by the Multimedia Center of Kosovo.

The main objective of this network is to promote and distribute theatrical texts in a multilateral way to the professionals but also to the wide audience.

Eurodram meetings in Pristina have been coordinated with the Polip International Festival of Literature.

The coming days will see discussions over EURODRAM network, there will be a planning of the next activities and further cooperation and expansion of this network.

Present in the congress will be: Jonathan Meth from England, Gilles Boulan from France, Andreas Flourakis from Greece, kim Komljanec from Slovenia, Neda Nejdane from Ukraine, Karine Samardzija from France, Hakan Silahsizoglu from Turkey, Hovh annes Tekgyozyan from Armenia, Ulrike Syha from Germany, Zohar Wexler from Israel and Dominique Dolmieu from France.

In the framework of these theatrical meetings, there will also be a brief meeting of FENCE.

FENCE is an international network of playwrights and European drama and beyond, which has around 200 members from 50 world countries. FENCE’s objective is to offer playwrights the possibility to exert their activity beyond their state borders.

EURODRAM network has been founded and coordinated by Maison d’Europe et d’Orient in Paris, a cooperating member of the International Institute of Theater, which gathers around 300 members from all of Europe, Central Asia and Mediterranean countries. /ibna/
